created in Los Angeles on August 5th 2005 to help build and strengthen Muslim
communities across Southern California. MECA targets those
individuals who are past undergraduate studies and are single,
married, or married with young children. We strive to strengthen our
communal bonds through social, educational, and outreach activities.
Some of our key projects
include a Monthly Gathering that is held on the second Saturday of each
month, an Eid Toy Drive that provides gifts for Muslim children in the
Southern California area, a support group for new Muslims (Coffee and
Converts), and ongoing interfaith activities.
MECA is what you make
of it! Please contact us with your feedback on what we've done so far and
suggestions for activities you'd like to see or become a part of. We can
always use volunteers, and it's a fun way to make new friends! The more we
