Food Pantry
MECA is a proud co-sponsor of The
Food Pantry
at the Islamic Center of Southern California. The food
pantry provides grocery bags of food to the local needy
community. The pantry is open every Saturday from
10:30am to Noon. All are welcome!
DONATING: If you would like to donate food to
the pantry please bear in mind that the recipients of the
food often do not have cooking facilities or the ability to
deal with difficult to open packaging and containers.
With that in mind we graciously accept the following
donations at the food pantry: Non-perishable food,
easy to open canned foods, bottled beverages,
cereals, bread,
rice, oatmeal, cooking oil and other items, such as pasta,
grains.
VOLUNTEERING: We are always looking warm hearted
members to volunteer at the food pantry. The work is
fun, easy, and a great way to give back to your community.
