MECA SoCal Forum is designed to be a place where MECA members can politely discuss and share pertinent social, educational, and outreach information relating to our community. We are first and foremost a social group connecting to each other through the tenants of Islam. Our forum is hosted through a Yahoo Groups and IS moderated to ensure that postings are relevant to MECA’s mission.  To subscribe to our forum please visit: MECA SoCal Forum Before you begin posting we ask that you adhere to the following MECA posting rules:

Do's

1. Write your name at the end of your message.
2. Try to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
3. Create descriptive subject lines.
4. Quote original text sparingly.
5. Send welcome or congratulation messages via private email.
6. Respect peoples privacy.  If you hear something private about someone, don't assume that they want everyone else to hear.

Don'ts

1. DON'T WRITE IN ALL CAPS. IT'S ANNOYING!
2. No fighting or arguing!  Especially over religious or political beliefs.  This is not the place for it!
3. No gossiping! Remember EVERYONE can see what you post here!
4. Don't send forwarded messages.
5. Do not use this forum as a mailing list to support your personal interest groups.  Especially, if they are not relevant to MECA.  This includes: chain-mail, petitions, jokes, etc.
6. Do not send attachments.  They will be automatically deleted.Do not reply to the MECA_SoCal Forum unless you want EVERYONE to see your posting.  If you want to reply to the originator of a message, send and email to him/her directly.  Their email address will appear at the top of their posting. Note:  Once you post a message please be patient and allow for the message to be screened and processed by the forum moderator.  We try our best to process the messages promptly.  Bear in mind that MECA is run 100% by volunteers and it could take up to a couple of days to post your message depending on our availability.
